Every MG battery we sell is tracked. When it wears out, we take it back. We ship it to a partner we trust in India, and we pay the cost ourselves. You drive the car. We deal with the rest.

Chapter One · The Lifecycle

What we do, from first charge to the last.

Phase 01

While you drive it

Every MG EV we sell in Nepal, the Comet, the Windsor, and the upcoming Majestor EV, comes with a battery management system on board. It watches cell temperature, charge level, and voltage balance around the clock, so the pack stays healthy year after year.

Phase 02

When it is time to retire it

When the pack is no longer fit for the road, bring the car in. We remove the battery, test what is left of it, and send it along one of two paths. Either a second life as stationary storage, or full recycling at Lohum in India.

Lohum is where every MG battery in Nepal goes when its road life is over. India’s largest lithium-ion recycler, and the only partner we have chosen for this work.

How it works

The packs we collect in Nepal are sealed, logged, and shipped across the border under a tracked chain of custody. At Lohum’s facilities they are dismantled cell by cell. Cobalt, nickel, lithium, copper. Everything usable goes back into the supply chain. Nothing gets written off.

The three promises

In plain terms.

§ I

Nothing to landfill

No MG pack collected at GO Automobiles ends up buried. It is recycled, or reused for storage. Those are the only two outcomes.

§ II

We keep records

Every pack is logged from the day you drive the car out to the day it is dismantled. Ask us for the certificate and we will send it.

§ III

You do not pay for it

Collection, transport, recycling. All of it is on us, not on you. It is built into the price of the car you already bought.
